Here’s yet another unidentified wedding photograph from my collection. I have no idea who the bride is or the time period when the photograph was taken.
The dress is quite distinctive with the floral pattern and the spiral design.
Whoever she is she looks very happy.
What a unique dress! The patterned fabric and the sprial are very cool.
Loved this photograph. Re the date, my inclination was either side of the Second World War – late 30′s or late 40′s – judging by the hair style, large bouquet and drapery of the dress. On the other hand, if it was late 40′s, rationing would still be a factor and perhaps the dress is a bit elaborate for that period. It would be interesting to hear what others come up with.
Thanks Susan – like you I thought the period was 1930′s / 1940′s. The dress does seem quite elaborate for a post war wedding.
